If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

 By Laura Numeroff
Illustrated by Felicia Bond

Better known in our household as "Give a Cookie to a Mouse".  This is what it looks like without the dust cover.  It's a nice touch.

This book is basically a metaphor for the bedtime routine.  It's a moral for parents that you should keep things short.

This one is popular because it has a mouse who eats cookies.  I don't mind reading it as long as we don't read it every night.

The art is okay.  The drawings are pretty cute.  There's a nice amount of detail.

This book is part of a series of books that are written in the same way, mad-libs style, if you will.
